GTP partners with Pan-African Fintech InTouch

To launch the largest prepaid card reload network on the African continent

InTouch and Global Technology Partners (GTP),  leader in the aggregation of payment and digital services and leader in prepaid processing in Africa, respectively, signed on October 16 a strategic partnership agreement whose aim is to offer banking partners even more innovative technological solutions.

INTOUCH is a Fintech created in 2014 which developed and launched the Guichet Unque Touch, an aggregation platform for payment methods and digital services used by 1,000 points of service (including TOTAL stations). This solution is already available in Senegal, Cameroon and Cote d’Ivoire; and will also be deployed in 2017 in Burkina Faso, Kenya, Mali, Morocco and the Republic of Guinea. Within three years, InTouch plans to launch in 30 other countries with the aim of having 10,000 point of sales in each country.

With such a network, a partnership has naturally been formed with GTP, whose expertise in the field of prepaid processing is well established. GTP plays a leading role in digital transactions by providing its customers with a reliable, flexible and easy-to-use system.

“We believe this partnership is a strategic fit for both companies, and will provide convenient and secure access to the financial services our cardholders demand. GTP is proud to partner with InTouch, and we anticipate great success as the program is expanded across the continent.” Rich Bialek, GTP CEO.

The objective of this partnership is to offer banks’ partners an efficient channel for reloading their Visa and Mastercard prepaid cards in order to benefit their customers throughout Africa. The latter will also be able to perform cash withdrawal operations at InTouch network (Touch Point).

“We have started InTouch with the ambition to make digital payments accessible to all in Africa, and thus promote a broader financial inclusion. With GTP, we are able to continue our vision and offer prepaid cardholders across Africa the possibility to reload their cards and do withdrawal of funds in the InTouch’s broad network of points of sales. We strongly believe that this partnership between GTP and InTouch will open new opportunities for millions of people in Africa.” Omar Cisse, InTouch CEO.

This collaboration between the two companies is part of their common approach to facilitate access to financial services via prepaid cards, especially for an underbanked African population.
